Returns Policy

 

At Weldtech Engineering and Solar, we have a 7-day return policy, which means if you have purchased a product from our website, you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

On receiving your order, please inspect your order and contact us immediately if any items are defective, damaged or if you received wrong items, so that we can evaluate the issue and correct it.

Weldtech Engineering and Solar will gladly accept your return in the following instances:
1. If the product is returned in the same condition that you received it, unused, in its original packaging and all accessories must be included. You’ll also need the proof of purchase.
2. If the product is faulty and/or damaged, Weldtech Engineering and Solar and its suppliers reserve the right to inspect the product first.
3. If an incorrect product was delivered to you; and/or
4. If the order was incomplete and you wish to return the order.

Refund Process:
All return requests must be submitted to Weldtech Engineering and Solar via email (info@weldtech.co.za) within 7 days from date of delivery. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Defective Items:
Weldtech Engineering and Solar will accept defective products for a full refund or exchange. However we are not obliged to process any refund, repair or exchange in the event that the fault and/or damage is as a result of
1. Ordinary wear and tear;
2. Non-compliance with the manufacturers specifications, negligence, user abuse and/or incorrect usage;
3. Any electrical surges and/or damaged by lightening.
4. Incorrect installation. A qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour is needed to install any backup or solar system. A valid electrical Certificate of Compliance must be issued once installed is done. The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts. Any warranty claim submitted. without installation photos, a valid Certificate of Compliance and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim null at void. Please note repairs can take up to 3-4 weeks.

Return Shipping costs:
Customers may need to cover return shipping costs unless the item is defective or the wrong item was sent.

Exclusions:
Certain items, such as custom orders or used batteries, may not be eligible for return.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
